Hermetic Principle of Gender

This is the last instalment of a 7-part series on the 7 hermetic principles of natural law.

#7. Principle of Gender

"Gender is in everything; everything has its masculine and feminine principles; gender manifests on all planes." Kybalion
The word 'gender' refers to the existence of male and female energies in everything. In order to manifest, you must work correctly with the genders.

The conscious mind has forceful masculine energy while the subconscious mind has receptive feminine energy. Consequently, masculine energy impregnates feminine energies in order to manifest.

Masculine energies are embodied in your ruminations, dominant thoughts, passionate ritual words, libations and so on. In contrast, those masculine energies impregnate the subconscious (and superconscious?) minds. After all, your subconscious mind simply accepts without question whatever thought, however good or bad it receives. It can be likened with soil into which you can throw any seeds. If the environmental conditions are favorable, the earth will germinate that seed without question. Unfortunately, in most cases, we allow the conscious mind to run rampant, tossing all kinds of seeds indiscriminately and unchecked. Depending on what other seeds you have sown and the strength of your conviction for each seed, some will germinate, while others will not. A magickian ought to be like a strategic farmer.

Applying gender
  • Your task is to manage your thoughts because it is the conscious mind over which you have control. We can not actively control the subconscious mind. This is much like how, as a gardener, you can not control the magical transmutation by feminine energy of water and nutrients into leaves. You can only provide the water and nutrients. The most you can actively do with masculine energy is to ensure the mind remains free of thoughts, mental states and actions that can be likened to 'weeds' because they work against our intention. (The most you can do with it is trance work or setting intentions before going into trance like states like before bedtime.)
  • Engage your subconscious mind. Feminine energies trust that the masculine energies are enough and that it is now safe to slow down, rest and trust that you are deserving of your intentions and able to receive them. Negative emotional states like anxiety and depression are indicators that the masculine and feminine energies are in misalignment.
    • Realignment exercises include meditation to quieten your mind and immersing yourself in the visualization of your intention. (While you can not control the subconscious mind, meditation is like opening the door to it because being mindful, ie present helps to align us more with the rest state of the subconscious mind).
It may seem confusing that this principle even exists, ie because masculine and feminine energies can be understood within the principle of polarity. While the source of this confusion is understandable, this principle deserves its own special place as a principle because it specifically relates to manifestation.

Masculine & Feminine energies
Just to be clear, these energies do not narrowly relate to animal kingdom males and females that manifest off spring. That is only one example of how the principle manifests. More importantly, know that, even within those examples; each sex (male or female) can express masculine and or feminine energies. in fact, people within certain professions, cultures or sub-cultures living under unique circumstances can collectively tend towards one type of energy or another.

I will illustrate the energies by showing them against the contrast of their polar opposite. As the principle of polarity suggested, de-polarization, ie combining the 2 polar extremes is often the ideal. Neither energy is good or bad. Context is everything.

Every day life examples of masculine and feminine energies. As you will see, they have nothing to do with the physical sexes; male or female.
  • To be successful at manifesting a partner, a woman must combine both masculine and feminine energies. The masculine energies involve putting herself out in the world to find a partner, learning to groom appropriately and so on. However, she may become unsuccessful if other aspects of her presentation (like her emotional state) are inconsistent with what she has planned. Her emotional state is a feminine energy matter. It relates to her emotional state in the moment. For instance, she should exude confidence in whatever statement made by her dress, makeup and willingness to attend. This confidence comes from feeling that she deserves the man that she wants. To go further, the female body is usually softer and more flexible. If a woman can portray these qualities, she is likely to become all the more attractive. In other words, the masculine and feminine energies must work together.
  • To use his masculine energies, a man may hustle very hard. However, he should be able to rest in feminine energy, ie be in a present moment emotional state that enjoys the fruits of his hard work. Being burnt out, stressed, anxious or wanting to work even harder will not secure his well being.

    • The Aqua Tower (in Chicago) has a very feminine appearance, especially when looking up at it from the street level. The curvilinear edges of glass against concrete make the glass look like lakes of water dispersed randomly among higher fields of land.
    • The Casa Catló (in Barcelona) by Antoni Gaudi is an example in which a man created very unapologetically curvilinear structures, not only in balconies and window frames on the outside but even the ceilings on the inside.

Hermetic Principle of Rhythm

The Principle of Rhythm is the 5th instalment of a 7-part series on the 7 hermetic principles of natural law.

#5. Principle of Rhythm

"Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates." Kybalion

The universe was built to follow cycles, ie processes in which continuous and predictable changes occur. Rhythm is the driving force that maintains cycles. This principle recognizes that all matter is in constant motion, rhythmic motion. Rhythm is the 'ordered and recurrent alternation towards polar opposite'. For sound, this relates to the pattern of alternation in time between sound and silence; for politics, left wing and right wing; for astronomy, day and night or Summer and Winter; and so on. While the pendulum swings away from one polar extreme and towards another, this principle does not necessarily suggest that rhythm swings the pendulum fully towards polar extremes. In other words, each stage within a cycle could have moderate (non extreme) pendulum swings to the left before swinging back moderately to the right and so on. Similarly, in seasonal cycles, the elements (like air, water, soil, fire and spirit) have different levels of intensity, like a lot of water in wet seasons versus little water in drought.

The YouTube video by Pater Amadeus 'The principle of rhythm - the Kybalion' (above)

Going with the flow: your path to empowerment
A key takeaway from this principle is to observe these cycles, recognize inherent opportunities in each stage and then take advantage of those opportunities accordingly.

Needless to say, timing is everything. For instance, this is why we must wait for fruits to ripen. You might work on fruit-related matters like weaving the harvesting baskets, getting the tools and so on but you just do not pick the fruit as yet. Inherent within this idea is to resist fighting against these cycles. Perhaps this is the origin of the saying 'go with the flow'.

Take time to specifically identify and analyze cycles in your personal life; internally (like your moods, stages in life and health) and external (like astronomical alignments, quality of relationships, periods of isolation, political climate). See how you can take control of your life within the cycles rather than be controlled by them. What 'high tides' can you ride? Even the down times can be used with suitable activities that help to transmute the negativity that you normally associate with those times. in fact, since the pendulum can swing in the opposite direction with the same measure, if you have an extreme down period, see ways in which you can harness an extreme alternate reality. See downtime such as solitude from rejection, mourning from loss and the like as opportunities for positive change like healing or preparation for a better reality as opposed to seeing it as victimhood. Needless to say, you can harmonize yourself and become the ebb and flow of cycling energy. In the many rags to riches cases like Oprah Winfrey, the pendulum swing was made possible by engaging all the other principles with this one. This ranged from the idea of what was possible (mentalism), pain and desires that were so intense that they created a potent vibrational force (vibration) and so on

  • The menstrual cycle has distinct phases that you can use strategically to your advantage.
    • Women are most fertile during ovulation, ie roughly 12 to 14 days before the next period. On that basis, if a couple wanting to have a child times their attempts to conceive accordingly, their rate of success will significantly rise. While conceiving otherwise is possible, couples wanting to conceive will be swimming against the natural tide. They are likely to become frustrated.
    • The pre-menstrual period can often cause depression. Maybe it can be likened with an autumn, a period of rest. In such a case, rather than become impatient with yourself, go with the flow by doing activities that are more restful and transmute your down mood into something more positive. For many people, activities can include art therapy, gardening, light study and reading.
    • Sluggishness during menstruation can force you to rest more than normal. Consequently, this downtime can be an opportunity to heal. Besides, a woman's body can use menstruation to detox itself.
  • Gardening. Planting seeds according to the appropriate planting season for specific species will significantly raise your rate of success. Water loving soft plants like pak choy is more likely to thrive during the wet season but struggle or need extraordinary effort on your part during the dry season. Struggling against the dry season is essentially unwillingness to accept the principle and to go against the flow. This non-acceptance often results in suffering.
  • Magick is commonly done according to sabats ie high energetic points within astronomical cycles like equinox and solstice points.

Magick is practiced at these times much like gardening during appropriate seasons. ..... Even regular lunar changes are used in the same way. For instance, during a waxing moon (ie when the moon is growing in size and light), it is best to try to manifest things of growth like wealth. Conversely, the waning moon is more conducive to lessening, like weight loss.
  • What is the cycle of your mental states and stamina
    • Are you sharpest in the afternoon ... or morning ... or late at night?  Schedule your more complex tasks for that time. Schedule your rest and relaxation time for your low energy periods.
    • Take cues from your physical environment.
YouTube video by Alecia Renece 'Winter reminds us to rest'

  • When crises occur (like personal or other types of loss), they often disrupt your rhythm. However, in the moment, as much as possible, see them as temporary disruptions to your still true, underlying rhythm. Since natural law allows for both ebb and flow in nature, your natural rhythm will eventually re-emerge, bringing with it a renewed sense of balance. Consequently, treat the disruptions as opportunities for learning and growth (much like the opportunity for rest forced upon a woman by her premenstrual phase).
  • If you allow a baby, a new plan and so on to be born at the correct time within its natural cycle of life, you raise the probability of success.
  • Coastal tides can mean drastic changes in water levels. Ships may need to time their arrival before falling tide in order to enter or leave a river entrance.
  • Humans have created financial markets which have predictable stages of growth and crisis. Long term investors know and exploit these cycles to their advantage.
  • In the political space, changes sometimes occur that feel like polar opposites to pre-existing regimes. Arguably, this is reflected in the voting in of US President Donald Trump, after many nervous white supremacist voters took action to swing the pendulum immediately after the first black US presidency.
  • Personal habits follow cycles.

Applying this principle with the principle of polarity
In the earlier article on the principle of polarity, I spoke of striving for de-polarization. Since the alternate swing of the pendulum will occur with equal measure, moderate how far you swing in the direction that is your default polar tendency.
  • With either form of bipolar mood disorder, I think persons should study their triggers and natural methods of tempering their polar extremes. This also requires understanding the principles of polarity and vibration.
    • type 2 sufferers may strive to minimize their extreme lows (major depressive disorder / MDD) in ways that go with the natural flow of the low, like restful activities that bring you a feeling of well being.
    • type 1 sufferers may strive to moderate the mania while with

Immutable rhythm, mutable effect
A common concern is that the desirable things one manifests (like wealth) can be lost. While such an eventuality is possible, master the all 7 of the principles together so as to counteract the effect of this immutable law.

Hermetic Principle of Vibration

This is the 3rd instalment of a 7-part series on the 7 hermetic principles of natural law.

#3. Principle of Vibration

"Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates." Kybalion

In high school Science, I learnt that atoms are the smallest physical components of everything; air, liquids, solids and so on. An interesting point was that these atoms are energetic, in that they are in constant motion, even for densely solid objects. In other words, even though a rock seems to be perfectly still, it is actually vibrating at an atomic level. This illusion can be likened to the way in which some objects appear still when they are vibrating at their fastest, like the blades of a fan on high speed or wheels of a very fast moving car. This appearance of stillness occurs when there is a lot more energetic movement per unit of time. In short, vibration is about energy. It refers to the movement of energy through something external to itself (regarding speed and pattern).

Had my Physics and Chemistry teachers been more holistic, they would have also said that, by referring to "everything", this concept also implies intangible matter like emotions, consciousness, thoughts, opinions, moods, spiritual entities, music and so on. Vibration also relates to 'aether' or electromagnetism as observed to be the 5th element (ie beyond just the 4 of earth, water, air and fire).

What distinguishes manifestations (whether tangible or intangible) is the electromagnetic frequency (EMF) of energy vibrating around them, specifically the pace and manner of the vibration. For instance, each specimen of any species of medicinal herb is arguably 'possessed' by a very particular 'spirit' because it vibrates at a unique frequency, ie at the same unique pace and manner as any other of its species, regardless of where it is planted. The frequency is so unique and special that it is recognizable anywhere on the planet. Needless to say, each individual specimen, including you as a human has a unique vibration.

At one polar extreme, the universal mind vibrates at the highest frequency. Conversely, more base forms of matter vibrate at the lowest frequency. The rest of the world vibrates between these 2 polar extremes.

There are 3 types of vibration (1- forced, 2 - free and 3 - dampened).
  1. Forced vibration occurs when some type of force continues to exert itself so as to create the vibration, continually. The input of the force may be stable or even sporadic for instance. Example(s)
    • consistent daily devotion to projecting certain thoughts
    • consistency with spiritual practice. This is particularly key if you are under spiritual attack, especially if your enemies are consistent with their spiritual work. This is commonly called "altar against altar". The 'altar' that wins is not about who is more moral but who is more consistent. In such a case, consistent devotion is a far better defense or attack than resting on your laurels that love and light conquers all. Afterall, evil has a fair chance at winning under natural law. YouTube video by Martina 'They are not more powerful than you: Altar vs Altar'
    • (physical world). Someone beating a drum at intervals.
  2. Free vibration continues after a one-off forced vibration. It is called free because it is allowed to linger naturally without the interference of any further external force. Consequently, over time, the free vibration dissipates, aka 'damps down'. Example(s)
    • One-off ceremonial magick rituals
    • (In the physical world). A string of a guitar that is plucked once or tuning bowl that is struck only once and continues to vibrate for a while. This lingering vibration continues to make a sound for a while before fully dissipating.
  3. Dampened vibration. I believe dampening vibrations are those that counteract other vibrations so as to dampen or dissipate them.
    • The energy of haters and people who try to discourage you from your goal.
    • (Physical world) The vibration of shock absorbers in cars dampen rattling sounds of a car engine.

How managing your vibration can be life changing: (the secondary law of attraction)
Since each feeling, mood, sense of purpose and thought has a specific emotional frequency that correlates with it, you can intentionally polarize your mind with the frequency while visualizing what you want.

This works because things on the same frequency can connect with and attract each other, much like how a radio picks up a station when set to its transmission frequency. This is why there is much talk of 'raising one's vibration' to whatever you want to attract. For instance, if you want to attract a safe, loving environment, you need to train your conscious and subconscious minds to think you are already in that safe, loving environment ... and assume the corresponding avatar so that you can ultimately attract it. BTW, this is the basis on which the law of attraction works.

External vibration attunement
When there is a psychic connection (aka psychic cord) between individuals, one affects the other at the quantum physics level (ie at the atomic and subatomic levels). This has long been discussed casually as a bond between twins. However, even modern science has also observed this and now recognizes that this connection occurs beyond normal laws regarding physical distance and time. Essentially, each individual's unique vibration is recognizable at the quantum / sub-atomic level of consciousness.

  • The experiment using a mother rabbit and her offspring illustrates that psychic bond exists even beyond physical contact. The mother's brain waves were monitored while held in a submarine, far away from her off spring in a laboratory. The precise moment that her off spring died, her brain waves became intensely altered
  • The famous "double slit experiment" illustrates that the simple act of watching any type of matter, even inanimate matter, can alter its behavior. If the mere presence of consciousness can do that, what about highly intentional consciousness?

The implications of this is that you can use vibrations as an intentional conscious effort to influence not only your mind but also of others and the superconsious mind as a whole. Digressing momentarily to the principle of mentalism, this is why you should police your words, thoughts and especially more intense ruminations. Clearly, your vibration is connected to something far bigger and complex than any individual, the universal mind. While each individual exists in its egoic individualism, each is connected as a component of the universal mind. All the different intentional vibrations thrown out into the universal mind compete for dominance.

(Consequently, your dominant and most intense emotional thoughts immediately start to do whatever they can to bring your reality into alignment. In other words, your emotions establish your vibration. Needless to say, doubts weaken your vibration and its ability to win in the super highway of competing vibrations.)

Resonance among people may be the reason that groups influence individuals to behave and feel in ways individuals might not have alone.
  • Watching movies in a cinema is always a different experience to watching it alone on a television in my living room.
  • It has been frequently observed that most by-standers are motivated into action to help someone they always knew were in need when someone else initiates the action of helping that person.
  • Gang stalking, character assassination, flying monkey activity and so on are typical ways in which (negative) ideas can be spread and amplified among others with whom the frequency of hatred is a vibrational match.

Your frequency is NOT a matter for the tone police
Tone policing is a type of ad hominem aimed at the tone of an argument instead of its factual or logical content. It is a tactic used to dismiss ideas being communicated when those ideas are seen as angry, frustrated, sad, fearful or some other negative emotion. In other words, tone policing is a considerable mis-use of the principle of vibration for one-upmanship. Often this involves arguing that people in a state of any negative emotion, whether anger, fear and so on should 'raise their vibration'. For instance, this is a typical response to avoid assuming the kind responsibility of support to someone in need. People unwilling to listen to someone else's situation and request often shut down cries for help with the retort that the person needing help only needs to 'raise their vibration' or to 'let go' of negativity. This can be re-traumatizing for someone who has been seriously traumatized and in real need of emotional support that can help them to raise their vibration for positive manifestation and to let go of the effects of trauma. Also; this is a typical response of abusers when challenged by their victim. They suddenly shout 'calm down', claim fear for their lives and so on.

However, having said this, I want to stress that natural law is NOT moralistic. (Besides, the concept of 'morality' is too culturally and temporally subjective to fit within the immutability of natural law). So I am not making a moral point.

Too often, positive and negative emotions are rigidly associated with high and low frequency respectively. The problem is that, sometimes, positive emotions may trap you in dangerous naivety when, what you need is frustration and anger to force you into action away from things that negatively impact you life and towards manifesting what you desire. Of course, as the principle of polarity shows, depolarization at least most of the time is required. So you would not want to remain constantly angry or frustrated. However, those emotions may push you to finally leave a toxic relationship, work place and so on.

When it comes to manifestation, the issue is more about the intensity than type of emotions. Intense emotions are the most ideal for manifestation. More intense emotions send higher vibrations or stronger signals to your consciousness at all levels. On that basis, witness your emotions (positive and negative) and determine whether they are intense and can help or hinder your progression towards your goals.

The law of attraction is secondary to the principle of vibration. In other words, before you can manifest something, your vibration should be appropriately attuned.

How to raise and maintain a high vibration
  • Consciously condition your subconscious mind. Having desires on only the conscious level will not bear fruit if the subconscious mind is not aligned. Read about the principle of mentalism.
  • Engage in activities that naturally raise vibration.
    • being in nature, natural foods, exercise, loving relationships, pets, gardening, getting sunlight, exercise, inspirational movies
  • Support others without absorbing lower vibrations. This involves listening for ways in which action can be taken. Outside of this, distance yourself and avoid becoming enmeshed in the lives of others, especially when you can and you do not resonate with them.
  • Avoid vibrational hindrances.
    • entertainment that prevent you from hearing and connecting with your personal unique frequency. Ensure that you can always check in with how you are thinking and feeling.
    • excessive exposure to damaging radiation from mobile phones
    • naysayers to your goals
  • Be watchful of external messaging from any source that can influence others. This includes authority figures and mass or social media. Consider how the father of propaganda, Edward Bernays suggested ideas, however false to the public and encouraged acceptance by engaging people's emotional aspirations. For instance, he encouraged women to embrace smoking as a gateway to feeling free. He therefore created the association of smoking with images of freedom among women.

Hermetic Principle of Correspondence

This is the 2nd instalment of a 7-part series on the 7 hermetic principles of natural law.

#2. Principle of Correspondence

"As above, so below. As below, so above."
This principle is a reminder that patterns repeat themselves across the various planes of reality, along the full range of scale, ie no matter how big or small, potentially into infinity. A fractal refers to a part of something that has the same essential characteristics as the whole through the full range of scale. This type of predictable recurrence of fractals is useful. For instance, you can make reliable predictions of patterns on different planes. Additionally, this level of consistency is evidence that, despite differences in planes, the manifestation of the pattern on one plane is undeniably connected with the other.

From an individual human perspective, your outer state generally reflects your inner state. For this reason, journal strategically, ie to observe patterns that exist in your life, like the types of situation and people you repeatedly encounter.

Example(s) of correspondences.
  • Fractals in nature.
    • Even if not entirely identical, small branches of a tree, blood vessels replicate the general Y-shaped pattern of the large tree from which it was extracted. Each instance is a matter of extending the self in a type of 'controlled randomness' for greater efficiency. When broccoli spirals, it does so into cone-like structures (ie instead of flat structures) that gives each fractal more sunlight exposure than otherwise.
  • Synchronicities. The superconscious mind sometimes reveals its connections with your microcosmic consciousness in obvious ways. It does this through 'synchronicities', ie meaningful coincidences or rapid manifestations that sync with your thoughts or feelings like when you encounter someone or thing shortly after thinking about them, seemingly randomly. These synchronicities are gentle reminders of the interconnectedness between our inner and outer worlds. If you have trouble remembering these synchronicities and consequent manifestation, force the issue by smiling more to strangers. Generally speaking, people respond more positively.
  • You need not be invited into the private board room meetings to know the essence of what occurred. This is because the actions taken, especially those that follow a clear pattern, reflect decisions made during those private meetings.

Applying this principle
Once you can see patterns in your life, identify ways in which you can alter something, internally and or externally. This requires you to also consider and engage the other principles. For instance, considering the principle of cause and effect, identify those things that you can alter that can have an effect. The easiest is usually oneself. However, as that principle shows, you may also need to consider other aspects of life that improve the probability for creating your desired effect. Apply the other principles like thought (mentalism) and emotion (vibration) and so on. For instance, allow your emotions to be as they would if you already were in the state of what you desire.

  • Journal in a strategic way, ie with the intention of finding patterns in your life. Note synchronicities and what are reflecting about your inner world. Avoid time wasting toxic positivity. Observe your negative thoughts and patterns. Work hard to improve your dominant thoughts. Study the principle of mentalism.
  • Be consistent.
  • Create balance. Balance refers to the practice of aligning your thoughts, actions and emotions with your intentions.
  • Be patient. In most cases, manifestations do not occur immediately. Remember that, before the skin of an apple turns bright red, a sign of ripeness, it must first gradually transition from being green to being ripe.

7 hermetic principles of natural law, How to apply them

    Natural law is expressed
through the '7 Hermetic Principles'. The principles apply to all forms of nature. They became widely known through the 1908 publication 'The Kybalion' by the anonymous author or authors called 'Three Initiates'*. However, they date back to ancient Egypt where the principles were said to have come from Hermes Trismegistus (aka Thoth), the scribe of the gods.

    1. The Principle of MENTALISM
    2. The Principle of CORRESPONDENCE
    3. The Principle of VIBRATION
    4. The Principle of POLARITY
    5. The Principle of RHYTHM
    6. The Principle of CAUSE and EFFECT
    7. The Principle of GENDER

These principles are the blueprint of God or the universe because they manifest consistently in everything, regardless of your cultural bias for understanding life. There are no gray areas that are open to multiple interpretation or manipulation. They are the black and white, inescapable laws of the universe.

By understanding these principles, you can empower yourself considerably. This does not mean that you will live problem-free. However, you will be able to better analyze challenges so as to rise above them.

Each is preceded by the word 'principle' from Latin meaning first or most necessary as a reminder of the following assertion by the Three Initiates.

The Principles of Truth are Seven; he who knows these, understandingly, possesses the Magic Key before whose touch all the Doors of the Temple fly open.”

    Know all 7 principles together
In order to get consistently good results, you should learn ALL of the principles, ie versus focusing on only one or the other as was often the case in the New Age movement's popular narrow focus on the law of attraction, which is secondary to principles of vibration and mentalism.

The different principles work together. Ignoring one may help you to get results but only for as long as another principle undermines what you have done if you have not already considered that other principle.

    Immutability

YouTube video by Mark Passio 'Mark Passio - Natural Law Seminar 0 New Haven, CT, Part 1 of 3'. From 1hr, 29min, 15sec until 1hr, 34min, 38sec, Mark defines and describes natural law. At one point (1hr, 21min, 26sec), he uses an every day scenario to illustrate the immutability of natural law. Specifically, he speaks of how the laws of gravity will not spare a baby from falling over a cliff to a gruesome death, irrespective of that child's innocence or lack of knowledge of the law. Given the immutability of the law, it would be wise to learn how gravity works in order to know how to avoid strife. Perhaps this means not walking close to the edge of a cliff, erecting barriers and so on. The same applies to hermetic principles of natural laws. The principles exist in everything.

This post is the first of a 7-part series to cover each principle for the sake of knowing these principles "understandably".

YouTube video by Victor Oddo 'How to release "frozen emotions" quickly'

    Applicability to daily life
Just as laws of physics govern the physical world, so too does natural law govern the spiritual aspect of our physical world. In other words, the spiritual world exists almost like a parallel universe.

    Hermetic Principle of Mentalism

This is the 1st instalment of a 7-part series on the 7 hermetic principles of natural law. It is the single-most important of the 7 principles. It is necessary for the success of any of the other principles.

    #1. Principle of Mentalism

"The All is Mind; The Universe in Mental."
Everything begins in the mind of God. Since you are a fractal of God, ie designed microcosmically in God's image, the same also applies to you. So everything starts in your mind as thought; ie everything like your achievements, material things, states of mind and so on. In other words, you need the appropriate mindset as a prerequisite for a desired outcome.

However, a critical thing to understand is that the word 'thought' refers to deep subconscious, NOT surface level conscious thought. Huge difference! Fear not, despite the depth of these thoughts, you can use your free will to change these subconscious thoughts with choices that you make at the conscious surface level. However, the choice needs to be an intention that is so profound and clear that it can drive you to engage all points of your trinity (mind, body and emotion) into manifesting your intention.

In other words, when you have implanted the thought (with emotion) of achieving something into your conscious and subconscious minds, your corresponding actions will follow naturally.

Furthermore, you can also engage the superconscious mind, aka universal mind, which is the macrocosmic consciousness outside of what you perceive to be your egoic self. From time to time, the superconscious mind reveals itself to your subconscious and conscious minds in obvious ways through 'synchronicities', ie meaningful coincidences or rapid manifestations that sync with your thoughts or feelings like when you encounter someone or thing shortly after thinking about them, seemingly randomly. Every thought is like a seed you plant in the fertile grounds of the universal mindThe now famous double split experiment in Quantum Physics has illustrated that your potent conscious and subconscious thoughts can even influence the macrocosm. There is a supernatural connection between your individual mind and the rest of the universe. This is why hermetic magick rituals like magick circles connect with the 4 elements of reality and often start with the spiritual element of air (for the mind in the East), then fire (for action) and then water (for emotion). The dream state, which is just like a deep meditative state, is a microcosm practice session of how our minds can create and interact with external realities, physical and even superconscious.

Regarding the famous "double slit experiment", the simple act of watching matter, even inanimate matter, can alter its behavior at the quantum level. The implications of this are endless as it shows that consciousness can alter reality. Just imagine; if the mere presence of observation can do that, your highly intentional consciousness can alter reality, even if you can not yet see how on a 3-dimensional physical level.
The prerequisite for applying this knowledge, ie altering reality through your mind is to de-clutter your mind so that your mind is clear about its intentions. Needless to say, just like how your mind impacts the environment, beware; the environment also impacts your mind's strength of attention on creative intentions. Each element in your environment that somehow overstimulates and thereby fragments your mind must be excluded whenever possible, even if you can not or barely recognize the impact. Common examples include social media, advertisements at every turn, constant notifications, constant streams of information, people that bring drama to your life, even ostensibly irrelevant details. Unfortunately, these distractions (aka addictions) distance you from your creative essence, especially since many distractions subconsciously shape your beliefs according to the will of others. Research shows that these excesses can lower your ability to maintain focus. Over time, your mind loses its sharpness and clarity. This point can not be stressed enough. Without you realizing it, external influences may train you to accept wrong limiting beliefs regarding the possibilities for your life. You may miss opportunities for loving relationships, productive partnerships, ambitious projects and so on.

Ultimately, therefore, in the modern world of manipulative mental overstimulation, your power to shape reality comes from your ability to willfully focus attention towards creative pursuits. In other words, your creative endeavors are more likely to be successful if you can give them your undispersed, concentrated focus (because a scattered mind with unconsciously formed beliefs would be powerless over your reality).

'Distractions are the most effective means of control over man.' Aldous Huxley

Mental self-control is therefore a source of self-empowerment. You can use meditation to achieve it, whether you meditate in the form of clearing the mind or focusing on something like the breath, dance or other point (like the minutiae of an activity, like noting the 5 senses as you walk, eat or otherwise). Either way, meditation trains your mind to break from the modern-day cycle of erratic thinking and to remain present and under your control. This needs to become a habit because, as a practice, meditation is like physical exercise in that, over time, your mind gets increasingly strong to focus according to your will and, despite external influences.

Forms of meditation that encourage you to empty the mind offer an opportunity to reprogram your mind. You will invariably observe thoughts that interrupt your attempts to keep your mind empty. Take note of these thoughts ... with pen and paper for later analysis. This exercise allows you to spy on your subconscious mind and to recognize your predominant thoughts. This is very important because the programing in your subconscious mind largely dictates what you can actually manifest, irrespective of your conscious intentions. If you can be deep, honest and kind with yourself, you can do the 'shadow work', ie you can recognize and resolve limiting beliefs and fears that block your potential. As a sidenote, it is common to focus banishment rituals on warfare by others against you. However, it is better to also banish your internal blocks so as to raise yourself above the effects of external warfare, especially since it is a near inevitability as you advance towards ambitious goals.

Meditation clears your mind to help you be a better channel through which Spirit can flow.

Meditation frequently is like physical exercise in that it strengthens your mind's ability to let go of thoughts that do not serve you.

Sometimes, it is necessary to objectively research ways of overcoming your limiting beliefs. You might even need professional help. You decide! Regarding, the next point is to reprogram your mind with emotion and creativity like visualization, situational enactment in which you play out your future role with fervor and ritual magick in which you allow yourself to connect more deeply with the universal mind. Feel the emotion of the new reality as if it has already occurred. This is important because these practices put you into a receptive state to 'see' the universal mind and to attract infinite wisdom (which can include working with ancient African ancestors bound under a similar covenant).

How to (re)program your subconscious mind
    • Select intentions that will be the predominant thought on which to focus throughout the day and during daily meditation. Your subconscious mind can only handle your predominant or most intense thought. Catch yourself when you fall back into negative thinking: worries, fears and ruminations and then redirect your thoughts accordingly. Many people default to rumination over past negative experiences, like failures. The subconscious and superconscious minds listens. Remove as many distractions (or 'noise') as possible from your life. This makes it easier for manifestation to occur.
YouTuber Dr Tracey Marks' video 'Two things you can do to stop ruminating' explains that
rumination is strongly linked with (major) depressive and anxiety disorders. Unlike normal constructive analysis of past events to problem solve, ruminating thoughts are only repetitive, unhelpful and negative without any problem solving. Studies show that rumination mostly occurs when you are not actively focused on or thinking about something. Said in terms of brain science; your brain's 'default mode network' is more active. Looking on the bright side, treat rumination or any type of mild dissociative state (especially if it is very engaging to your senses, aka highly vibrational / manifestationalas a golden opportunity to see what your subconscious mind is REALLY up to.
      • Depressive rumination examples
        • Thoughts associated with feeling un-lovable like "They would not like me", "I can not find a partner that can truly appreciate all of my complexities".
      • Anxiety rumination examples
        • You relive or repeat past traumatic events in your mind. (It is much like re-experiencing, a key aspect of PTSD anxiety disorder, but in thought).
    • Adapt intentions to current circumstances. One reason that many people do not succeed at manifestation is that their minds can not see the possibility of their intended end goal. In other words, their gatekeeping conscious mind rejects the idea, thereby preventing their subconscious mind from ever receiving it. For instance, if you wanted anything, and set that intention without being ready to attract it, you are more likely to fail. Just imagine someone barely able to write and not having even a high school diploma but setting the intention to earn a PhD within 6 months. While people continue to break the mold, such a person is unlikely to be very prepared, even if the universe presents opportunities for full scholarships. Conversely, if you set more realistic intentions, realizing that you need some type of self development that will help you to attract, identify and keep what you want, you are more likely to succeed by giving your mind an intention that is adapted to current circumstances. In other words, you need to take the necessary baby steps.
    • Write down your plan for your mental state to tell your mind to take this process seriously.
    • Use the right language. Set your intentions in the present tense as if they have already materialized. The subconscious mind is NOT good at the future tense. It just wants to slavishly deliver on your current program, however you set it. Ensure your wording does not suggest lack. For instance, do not say 'I wish I had' because your mind will recognize that you do not have it. Use powerful words like 'mastering', 'perfect' and so on.
    • Talk to your subconscious mind just before sleeping. During your 8 hours of sleep, your subconscious mind dwells on and integrates the various ideas of your day's life experience. One of the easiest way to slip conscious intentions into your sleep-state subconscious mind is by declaring the message to yourself as you are falling asleep. Example(s) of suggestions with which you may reprogram your mind include the following. I like the idea of creating my own deck of cards from which I can draw at bed time.
      • I am healthy
    • Repetition. Review your vision board as the first and last things you ponder on each day.
    • Incorporate your mentalism plan into your daily life. Meditate on the intention. During meditation, visualize and imagine the intention, engaging as many of your senses and emotions as possible. See article on the principle of vibration. In response to negative patterns (like rumination), follow an 'if-then' action plan for each type. For instance, you may decide that 'if you catch yourself ruminating about / dealing with trigger x, your remedial response will be to do y'. Remedial responses do not follow the one-size-fits-all model but usually include meditation, grounding practices, art therapy and the like. Learn more about 'rumination-focused cognitive behavior therapy / RFCBT'. As much as your current circumstances will allow, start to behave according to your new avatar. For instance, if your intention is to become a chef, start consuming educational content on culinary arts. If your intention is to be more abc, learn how to start incorporating as many of those traits. Whenever possible, jump into the role, even if this means impersonating someone who already embodies the traits you desire. Impersonation involves responding to situations like how that person would, ie rather than how you would ordinarily. Naturally, this requires you to have really analyzed that person in advance. This may also involve rehearsing and acting out scenarios in advance. Remember to be patient because this is a process. Specifically, at first, your old self image will continue to rule the show, attracting reflections of its existence in your life. However, over time, the balance will tip in the other direction towards your new self image. Calls to action: Write out your alternative / alter ego (specify your superpowers, objectives, triggers, future); reveal your alter ego / powers in everything that you do.
      • YouTube video by Aaron Doughty '3 Steps to anchor your new self-image' speaks of first acknowledging your old self image so as to be clear of what you want to undo. For instance, do you have some polarity issues? He also speaks of using repetition so that the new persona sticks. For instance, several times daily, check in with yourself to ensure that you are consistently aligning yourself (through thoughts, words and emotions) to your new self-image. As part of your checking in process, imagine and visualize yourself in experiences that align with the new self image. Do so with imaginations of your 5 senses.
      • Many famous people have created alter egos as a strategy for becoming the best versions of themselves and to fulfill dreams. See YouTuber Jillz Guerin video on how 'an alter ego can change your life' (inspired by Todd Herman's book 'The Alter Ego Effect').

YouTuber Ethan Schwandt's YouTube video 'The alter ego effect - Todd Herman (mind map book summary)'. This video speaks about the superhero Superman and Clark Kent in a very interesting way. He suggests that, while most people would likely think that Superman was the alternative ego to Clark Kent, it might be the other way around. Specifically, Superman was truly who this being came to the planet as. However, he selected an alter ego, Clark Kent for safety in a society, knowing that he could switch back to his true self when necessary. In other words, your superhero abilities are truer versions of your higher self. You must therefore tap into that version of yourself.
      • Bob Proctor speaks of "creating a new persona" (from Proctor Gallagher Institute YouTube video 'Write your new self image', 3:45 to 04:45). He did this by borrowing elements of different people he wanted to emulate. For instance, he admired a man who always dressed very well. While he had not yet had the finances to support dressing like that, he set in his mind that that was one way in which his new person would be. He admired another man who walked with calm confidence. He visualized himself walking that way. This was the way he eventually built the different aspects of his new self. He committed in action to honoring the new vision. For instance, regardless of how others dressed, he went out of his way to ensure that he was always the best or one of the best dressed people in any room.
    • Example(s). Daily repeat affirmations like the following.
      • I am learning so much about field X is the adaptation from Please give me / I wish I had an expert in field X. Who knows, maybe you do NOT specifically need a PhD, just knowledge and certain opportunities to perform within the field.
      • Financial ease is on its way that allows me to focus on passions a and b is the adaptation from How can I ever get out of this financial set back? I do not know how
      • I am mastering [trait a], becoming expertly [trait b] [like Person A] is the adaptation from I envy Person A.
      • I am growing in gratitude for life (because I am developing myself in a,b,c ways) is the adaptation from I am tired of life.

    • Consider using accessories
      • Music with the 963 Hz frequency, aka the 'God frequency' or 'miracle tone' is considered useful for significantly raising your vibration which is key to manifesting positive circumstances and outcomes.
      • Flutter breath meditation for manifesting your vision (using a vision board)
      • High vibrational foods
        • fermented sprouts, especially with brain health herbs likes parsley and cilantro. (Fermented) lentils are considered as 'brain food' and can also be added to sauerkraut. (sprouts, sauerkraut). I include as many brain foods as possible. Others include: mushrooms (especially if sun-exposed for a day to increase its content of vitamin D), fennel seeds and parsley.
